This extremely difficult 13.18-kilometer circular hiking route leads you through the stunning landscape surrounding Sasso Grande. The trail begins at a parking area and quickly takes you to a wilderness hut, Rifugio, 1.79 kilometers from the start. As you continue on, you'll reach Passo Chiaromonte at 5.6 kilometers, a picturesque saddle offering beautiful views.

At the midway point of 6.24 kilometers, you'll encounter Sasso Grande, a peak worth the effort for its breathtaking vistas. Along the way, there are opportunities to refill your water supply at a drinking water spot located 1.05 kilometers from the start, and another one at 0.44 kilometers from the beginning.

For a well-deserved break, a picnic site can be found 1.83 kilometers into the hike, providing a lovely spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Additionally, there is an information point at 5.6 kilometers, where you can learn more about the area's history and wildlife.

Be prepared for this challenging hike with an elevation gain of 553 meters and a duration of approximately 4 hours and 26 minutes. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
