Welcome to the hiking route to the "High Place of Sacrifice" footpath in an ancient archaeological site. This circular trail offers a mix of historical exploration and natural beauty, covering a distance of approximately 5.16 kilometers with an elevation gain of 152 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
As you begin your journey, you'll come across various points of interest along the way. At a distance of 2.23 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Al-Madbah, an attraction with archaeological significance. Further along at 1.18 kilometers, The Theater stands proudly, showcasing its historic ruins. As you continue, at 1.42 kilometers, the Tomb and Upper Market await to be explored. The Temple of the Winged Lions, Royal Palace, and Nymphaeum are also within reach during the hike.
Midway through the trail, at 2.07 kilometers, you'll encounter the Why Not Shop, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Keep an eye out for the Lion Monument at 2.11 kilometers and the Two Obelisks at 2.03 kilometers, offering a glimpse into the area's rich history.
