This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Gr 406 - Grande traversée des Préalpes. The trail is 6.417 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 468 meters, making it a moderate level hike. It is estimated to take around 2 hours and 39 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find convenient parking spaces at Place de la Petite Etuve and Place de la Grande Etuve. Further along, about 0.94 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter the Chapelle Saint-Jean-Baptiste, a lovely cave entrance that adds a touch of history to your trek.

Around the midway point of the hike, approximately 2.82 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water fountain and the Hautes Baties de Cousson information point. These are great spots to take a rest and learn more about the area.

Continuing on your journey, at about 3.21 kilometers from the start, you will reach three viewpoints: one with a stunning view just 2.105 kilometers from the trail, and the other two a bit further away at 32.18 and 1.867 kilometers respectively.

As you make your way back, you will pass by the Chapelle Saint Jean information point, just under a kilometer from the start, providing additional insight into the local landmarks.
