This challenging hiking route takes you through the beautiful wilderness of Alpe Vecchio. The trail extends for 6.925 kilometers with an elevation gain of 938 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek. It is estimated to take approximately 3 hours and 56 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across the San Giorgio parking area, conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to leave your vehicle and begin your adventure. Along the way, you will find a refreshing drinking water fountain at a distance of 1.95 kilometers from the start, perfect for refilling your water bottles.

Further along the trail, at a distance of 3.46 kilometers from the start, you will reach a stunning viewpoint where you can take in the picturesque surroundings. This is a great spot to pause and admire the beauty of the area. As you continue your hike, you will also encounter informative signposts scattered along the route, providing interesting facts about the landscape and local points of interest.

At the turnaround point of the trail, you will find the Bivacco Alpe Vecchio wilderness hut, located 1.96 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to rest and enjoy a well-deserved break before heading back.
