Welcome to Route d'Ensex, a beautiful hiking trail located in a scenic area. This route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 2.711 kilometers and an elevation gain of 145 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area right at the start of the trail. Feel free to leave your vehicle here and start your adventure on foot. Just a short distance from the trail, you will find a lovely restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat or a refreshing drink before continuing on your hike.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter various points of interest. Around the 1.34 kilometer mark, you will reach L'Encrène, a picturesque saddle where you can take in stunning views of the surrounding landscape. A little further ahead, at 1.36 kilometers, you will find a designated viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the area.
Around 0.9 kilometers into the hike, there is a bench where you can take a rest and admire the scenery. Additionally, at 0.47 kilometers, you will find an informational point providing insights into the local attractions and landmarks.
Although not directly on the trail, at 0.29 kilometers, you can venture off the path to discover the Pyramides de Gypse, fascinating natural formations worth exploring. As you continue, you will also encounter Le passage des loups, an intriguing artwork located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail.
For those seeking breathtaking views, lookout points can be found at various distances along the trail. At 0.01 kilometers, you will reach a viewpoint with an exceptional vantage point, followed by two more viewpoints at 0.14 and 0.74 kilometers, respectively.
