This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Grabensprungspitz - Cima Fosso Alto in a challenging journey of 15.174 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1820 meters. The hike is estimated to take around 8 hours and 3 minutes to complete.
Starting your adventure, you will pass by Ortlerhof, a charming restaurant just 0.29 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you'll come across a convenient parking area located right at the start of the route.
Along the way, you'll encounter Obere Flimalm, an Alpine hut located 4.38 kilometers from the starting point, followed by Untere Flimalm at the 3-kilometer mark. These rustic accommodations offer a perfect place to rest and refuel before continuing your journey.
As you hike further, at 1.08 kilometers from the start, you'll find Erdbeeren & Sorten, an information point to learn more about the surrounding area. Additionally, benches are conveniently placed at regular intervals for hikers to take a break and enjoy the picturesque views.
Midway through the hike, approximately 7.59 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak of Grabensprungspitz - Cima Fosso Alto, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the landscape.
It's important to note that some points of interest are slightly off the main trail, such as Erdbeeren & Co, Erdbeeren & Genossenschaft, and several other informational spots and picnic sites.
