This hiking route to Pic de Château Renard is located in a beautiful area with stunning views. The trail is 15.672 kilometers long and has an elevation gain of 987 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to park your vehicle securely before embarking on the hike. About 0.08 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Pont de Lariane, providing you with some interesting information about the area.
Midway through the hike, at around 3.65 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col du Longet, a saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature before continuing on your way.
Further along the trail, approximately 4.24 kilometers from the start, you will find the Traversier, another point of interest where you can learn more about the area. As you near the summit, at 7.56 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the Observatoire de Chateau Renard, where you can gather more information about the peak and its surroundings.
Finally, after a challenging trek, you will reach the destination of Pic de Château Renard at 7.84 kilometers from the start. Enjoy the panoramic views from the peak before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
