This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with a total distance of 2.17 kilometers and an elevation gain of 87 meters, making it an easy trail suitable for all skill levels.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the hike. About 0.75 kilometers into the trail, you will come across a water source, providing a great opportunity to refill your water bottle. Further along the route, at a distance of 1.09 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Chanzel, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

During your hike, you will also have the chance to explore the historic Schloss Thorberg castle, located at the start of the trail. Along the way, you may encounter informative signposts about the area, such as the Schwändi and Thorberg information points.

As this is an out-and-back route, you will retrace your steps to return to the starting point. Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out. Enjoy your hike to the Chanzel peak!
