This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with diverse points of interest along the way. Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a convenient parking area. Be sure to bring enough water as you embark on this 8.561 kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 462.0 meters.
About 1.76 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a natural water source where you can refill your bottle and take a break. Continuing on, at around 3.19 kilometers, you will find the entrance to the Cova de Pere Mas, a natural cave worth exploring.
As you trek further, at 1.64 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Mas de la Penya, a spot known for climbing opportunities. The trail also leads you to the majestic Castillo de Cocentaina, a historic castle located off the main path.
The highlight of the hike is reaching el Cavall Bernat, a prominent rock formation that stands at 4.28 kilometers from the beginning of the route. Make sure to snap some photos and take in the stunning views before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
