Welcome to the hiking route to Chvatimech!

Chvatimech is a beautiful area known for its stunning views and abundance of natural beauty. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 4.003 kilometers and an elevation gain of 405 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Chvatimech railway station, located just 0.2 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This historic site is worth a visit for its cultural significance. Further along the trail, at 1.29 kilometers from the start, you will find Chata Bernardín, a cozy mountain hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

One of the highlights of the hike is the peak of Chvatimech, situated 2 kilometers from the start. The summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot for a photo opportunity. Nearby, at the same distance, there is a free flying takeoff site where you can watch paragliders soar through the sky.

For those interested in nature, there is a spring located 0.48 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing stop along the way. Additionally, Turistická útulňa Nový Bernardín na Chvatimechu, a charming restaurant, is just 1.34 kilometers from the beginning of the trail, offering a delicious dining option.
