This hiking route takes you through a scenic area with beautiful views and serene natural surroundings. Starting at the parking area, you will embark on an easy 3.519-kilometer out-and-back trail that offers an elevation gain of 110 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

At the beginning of the trail, you will pass by the Montlinger Schwamm alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. Further along the route, you will come across the Diepoldsauer Schwamm alpine hut, another great spot to rest and refuel.

One of the highlights of the hike is the Forstseeli, a picturesque water spot located 1.76 kilometers from the start of the trail. This peaceful lake provides a perfect setting for a relaxing break or a picnic. Nearby, you will also find a shelter for additional resting options.

As you make your way back, consider stopping by the Montlinger Schwamm restaurant for a delightful meal or refreshment. Along the trail, there are also informational points that offer insights into the surrounding area.
