This hiking route takes you through the scenic area around Flatirons Golf Course on Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of approximately 2.33 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before beginning the hike. About 0.31 kilometers into the trail, you'll find Blackbelly Market, a restaurant where you can stop for a meal or refreshments on your way back.
Throughout the hike, you'll encounter several water sources along the trail. At around 0.66 kilometers, there is a water spot located right on the trail, offering a perfect place to rest and hydrate. Further along, at 1.13 kilometers, you'll find another water source slightly off the trail, followed by a third water spot at 1.16 kilometers. The last water point is at 1.13 kilometers, just before you reach the final stretch of the hike.
