This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Skalnatá chata in the High Tatras. The total distance of the hike is 8.759 kilometers with an elevation gain of 812 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
Starting at Buková Hora, you will begin your journey towards Skalnatá chata. Along the way, you will pass by various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find an information center where you can learn more about the area. Further along, there are options for sustenance with restaurants and bars such as Pizza&Pasta Štart and Ice Bar.
As you continue on the trail, you will come across a picturesque alpine hut called Encián, offering accommodation for weary hikers. Further ahead, you can take a break at Relax park jazierko, a restaurant with wheelchair access and outdoor seating.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Skalnaté pleso, a beautiful lake surrounded by nature. And near the end of the trail, at Skalnatá chata, you can refuel at the Aprés-ski bar before heading back.
