This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the magnificent Monte Pizzo, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The trail covers a distance of 12.925 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1387 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous adventure that will last around 6 hours and 27 minutes.

Starting the hike, you will pass by the historic wayside cross at 0.66 kilometers from the beginning, adding a cultural touch to your journey. Further along the trail at 1 kilometer in, you will find the Salti drinking water point, a great spot to refill your water bottles and stay hydrated.

As you continue, at 4.76 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the picturesque Lago di Asbelz, a beautiful water feature perfect for a rest stop and some serene moments in nature.

Midway through the route, at 6.46 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Monte Pizzo, the ultimate reward for your efforts. Take in the panoramic views and revel in the accomplishment of conquering this challenging climb.
