Welcome to the GR11 hiking route! This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of approximately 7.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 214 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek.
Starting off from the parking area, hikers will immediately be immersed in the natural beauty of the area. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across Cala Tamariua, a picturesque beach located just 0.24 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a quick break and enjoy the serene surroundings before continuing on your journey.
Further along the trail, at around 2.19 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Cala Fornells, another beautiful beach where you can relax and soak in the coastal views. As you continue hiking, be sure to stop by Puig Gros and Turó d'en Llaures, two stunning peaks that offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
At approximately 2.88 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Memorial de la Punta Blanca, a viewpoint with a historic memorial that provides a perfect vantage point for taking in the scenery. Finally, at around 3.82 kilometers from the start, you'll reach another scenic viewpoint that offers breathtaking sights of the area.
Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and carry an adequate supply of water, as well as checking the weather forecast before setting out. With its varied terrain and stunning points of interest, the GR11 hiking route promises a challenging yet unforgettable adventure for outdoor enthusiasts.
