This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Carretera Caideros, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience. With a total distance of 8.256 kilometers and an elevation gain of 485.0 meters, this route is classified as difficult, so be prepared for a strenuous trek.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across the El Sao informational point at just 0.02 kilometers into the hike. This is a great spot to learn more about the area before continuing onward. As you make your way along the trail, at around 0.4 kilometers, you will reach another informational point labeled S.L.1, providing you with more insights into your surroundings.

During the hike, you will encounter various water sources, with the first one being approximately 1.94 kilometers from the start. Make sure to refill your water bottles here to stay hydrated throughout the journey. Further along at 2.94 kilometers, there is another water source before reaching the halfway point of 3.86 kilometers.

Continuing on, at 4.13 kilometers, you will come across another water spot located on the trail, providing a refreshing break during your ascent. Finally, at around 6.94 kilometers, there is a water source slightly off the trail, offering a picturesque resting spot.

As this route is an out-and-back type, you will retrace your steps back to the starting point, taking in the beautiful surroundings once more.
