This hike takes you to the beautiful Lac de l'Hivernet, located in a scenic area with stunning views. The route is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 8.102 kilometers with an elevation gain of 768 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge both your endurance and strength.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Parking de la Forêt, a convenient starting point for your adventure. About 0.78 kilometers into the trail, you will find a drinking water source at a distance of 10.689959136267339 meters from the trail, perfect for filling up your water bottle.

Continuing onwards, at around 0.66 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Refuge des Fontainiers, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the serene surroundings. As you make your way towards the lake, you will pass by a picnic site located just 0.02 kilometers from the trail, offering a great spot to relax and refuel.

Midway through the hike, at 4.05 kilometers from the start, you will reach Lac de l'Hivernet, a picturesque lake where you can take in the breathtaking views and maybe even have a refreshing swim if weather permits.
