This hiking route, known as Sendero Madre e Hija, is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. The trail is circular and covers a distance of 17.869 kilometers with an elevation gain of 405 meters, making it extremely difficult and challenging.
As you start your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the trail. At the beginning, you will find a parking area for your convenience. Further along the trail, about 1.19 kilometers in, there is a viewpoint called Mirador Río de las Vueltas where you can take in breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Continuing on, you will pass by Laguna Capri, a picturesque viewpoint located 4.01 kilometers from the start. This spot offers a great vantage point to rest and enjoy the scenery. Further ahead, at 8.52 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter Laguna Nieta, another beautiful water feature to admire.
Throughout the route, there are also opportunities to refill your water supply with drinking water stations located at various points. It is advisable to bring an adequate amount of water with you, as this is an extremely challenging hike.
Additionally, keep an eye out for Camping Hermherhu and Laguna Capri campsite if you plan to stay overnight. These accommodations are situated at strategic points along the trail.
