Located in a picturesque area, this hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 7.759 kilometers and an elevation gain of 293 meters, making it a difficult hike that will test your endurance.
As you start your journey, you'll come across various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning, you'll find the Parc Àvia Jovita, a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, about 2.51 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the historic Can Margarit de Dalt ruins, providing a glimpse into the past.
As you continue your ascent, at around 1.9 kilometers from the start, the Puig de la Creu de Castellar peak offers stunning panoramic views of the area. Around 3.86 kilometers from the start, the Mirador de Ruàs viewpoint provides a perfect spot to capture the beauty of the landscape.
Although the trail passes by interesting landmarks such as the Castell de Calonge castle and the Cova de la Roca Esquerdada cave entrance, they are slightly off the trail, around 0.01 kilometers and 3.82 kilometers from the start, respectively.
