Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across a picnic site called Parc Àvia Jovita, where you can take a break and enjoy some food. Continuing on, you will find a parking area for your convenience.
As you make your way along the trail, you will encounter Can Margarit de Dalt, a historic site with ruins located approximately 2.51 kilometers from the start. Further ahead, at around 1.9 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Puig de la Creu de Castellar, a natural peak offering stunning views of the surrounding area.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 3.86 kilometers from the start, you will reach Mirador de Ruàs, a viewpoint that provides a picturesque vantage point for taking in the scenery. Nearby, there is the Castell de Calonge, a historic castle located just 0.01 kilometers off the trail.
Towards the end of the hike, you will come across Abric del les Roques del Barret, another viewpoint offering a unique perspective of the landscape. This marks the turnaround point of the out-and-back route, so take some time to rest and admire the views before heading back.
