Welcome to the hiking route to Colle Pietropaolo!
This challenging 11.161 km out-and-back trail will take you through a beautiful alpine landscape, with a total elevation gain of 611 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is 4 hours and 6 minutes.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by some points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find "Madonna del Carmine", an archaeological site with a distance of 1.41 km from the start. Further along the trail, approximately 3.66 km from the start, you'll come across "Casa del Pastore", an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surrounding views.
As you continue your journey, you'll encounter "Casa del Pastore" again at around 3.6 km from the start, serving as a mid-way point. "Colle della Caparnassa" and "Colle Valle del Lago", both peaks, are also located along the trail, offering stunning panoramic views of the area.
For sustenance options, "Ristorante da Zi Peppe" and a bar are conveniently located near the trail, providing a place to refuel and hydrate. Additionally, there are drinking water sources available approximately 0.14 km from the start to keep you hydrated throughout the hike.
It's important to note that "Area dello schianto 1960" a memorial, is located further away from the trail at around 3.05 km from the start, and "Colle Pietropaolo", the final destination, is at the end of the trail at 5.58 km from the start.
