This hiking route takes you through the scenic area of Plover Cove Reservoir Country Trail in Tai Po District. With a distance of 13.777 kilometers and an elevation gain of 148 meters, this extremely difficult hike is not for the faint of heart.

As you start your journey, you'll come across the Tai Mei Tuk Barbecue Area, a great spot for a picnic about 0.45 kilometers into the hike. Further along the trail at 0.16 kilometers, you'll find another barbecue area closer to the trail. There are also information points and shelters scattered along the route.

Midway through the hike, at around 6.89 kilometers, you'll reach a viewpoint at Cheung Pai Tun peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you continue on, you'll pass by various amenities such as restaurants, water filling stations, and even a Country Art Museum.

Before embarking on this challenging hike, be sure to bring plenty of water, as well as snacks to keep you fueled throughout the journey.
