This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Rienz Gorge, known for its stunning scenery and historical landmarks. The trail is 7.364 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 295 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding hike.

Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will pass by a picnic site named Schützenkapelle, located 0.7 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at 3.1 kilometers from the start, you will come across the impressive Schloss Rodenegg (Castel Rodengo), a historic castle worth exploring.

Along the way, you will find several benches and facilities for resting, with a restaurant named Gasthof zum Löwen at 3.49 kilometers from the start. Make sure to refill your water bottle at the Karlsbrunnen drinking water point located 0.7 kilometers from the start.
