Welcome to the hiking route to Le Cos!
Located in a picturesque area, this moderate difficulty hike covers a distance of 5.162 kilometers with an elevation gain of 455 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is 2 hours and 19 minutes. Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to pack enough water and check the weather forecast.
Starting at the Place de l'Allée parking area, you will begin your journey towards the historic castle located just 0.16 kilometers from the start. As you continue along the trail, you will come across two water features at 0.35 kilometers and 0.03 kilometers respectively. Take a moment to enjoy the peaceful surroundings before reaching the wayside shrine of Sainte-Anne at 0.37 kilometers.
Further along the trail, at 0.16 kilometers, you will encounter the Croix du Pouech wayside cross followed by an information point at the same distance. Stay hydrated with a drinking water station at 0.14 kilometers before reaching the peak of Le Cos at 2.58 kilometers.
On your way back, take a break at the El Picoline Bar Snack and La Gourmandine restaurant located at 0.16 kilometers and 0.09 kilometers from the start respectively. Enjoy the scenic viewpoint at 0.16 kilometers and treat yourself to some ice cream at La Biscuiterie at 0.03 kilometers.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across benches for resting and wayside crosses for historic significance. Admire artwork along the trail and make a pit stop at Le Rive Guauche restaurant at 0.07 kilometers.
