This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through the beautiful Traversata Carnica area. The total distance of the trail is 12.581 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1002 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.

Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Göriacher Alm, located 5.68 kilometers from the starting point. This historic wayside cross is a picturesque spot to take a break and enjoy the scenic views. As you continue on the trail, you will come across several water features, including a spring and multiple water sources, perfect for refilling your supplies along the way.

Around the midway point, at 6.29 kilometers from the start, you will find another water source and a bench where you can rest and take in the surroundings. The trail will lead you further along, with more benches scattered throughout for resting and enjoying the nature around you.
