This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning destination of Caldeirão do Inferno. The 16.489-kilometer trail boasts an elevation gain of 1890 meters and will take approximately 8 hours and 32 minutes to complete.
Starting at the trailhead, you'll first come across a picturesque lagoon (Lagoa) just 0.67 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue, you'll find a cafe (0.04 km) for a quick stop before reaching various water sources along the way (at 0.09 km, 0.12 km, and 7.17 km).
One of the highlights of the hike is the stunning Caldeirão Verde waterfall (5.86 km), followed by another waterfall, Caldeirão do Inferno (8.24 km). These natural beauties are worth the journey and offer a refreshing break.
Throughout the trail, you'll also encounter important points such as boundary stones (1.99 km, 1.17 km, 1.86 km), information points (4.15 km, 0.04 km, 0.04 km, 0.02 km, 0.04 km, 4.13 km, 5.86 km, 7.81 km, 7.77 km, 7.03 km, 7.32 km, 7.27 km), parking areas (0.02 km, 0.0 km), viewpoints (2.63 km, 3.68 km, 4.44 km, 5.56 km, 4.69 km, 5.27 km, 0.8 km), picnic sites (0.09 km, 0.12 km), and even a municipality tourist map (0.02 km).
