This hiking route in the FabOr1 area offers a challenging and extremely difficult experience for hikers. With a total distance of 12.783 kilometers and an elevation gain of 627 meters, this trail is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will come across the "fontana Costara" drinking water fountain right at the beginning of the hike, perfect for filling up water bottles before the journey ahead. As you make your way along the trail, you'll also pass by the "scout" campsite and the "restaurant" for sustenance midway through your trek.
One of the highlights of this hike is the "Faggio di San Michele" memorial, located 1.28 kilometers from the start of the trail. Take a moment to appreciate this historic site before continuing on your journey.
Further along the trail, you'll encounter the "Il rifugio nel bosco" alpine hut, a great spot to rest and refuel before heading back. Make sure to check out the stunning viewpoint at 6.39 kilometers from the start for a breathtaking break.
For those in need of a refreshing break, the "fonte Capelluzzo" spring is located 5.3 kilometers from the start, providing a natural source of water along the way. As you approach the turnaround point, you'll reach the "Capelluzzo" peak, offering a rewarding end to your challenging hike.
