This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Mont Auri, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The trail covers a distance of 6.215 kilometers with an elevation gain of 525 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Esplanade de Félix Gal, a great spot to park your vehicle before heading out on the trail. Further along, at a distance of 0.19 kilometers from the start, you will find the Tour à la Gorge Fendue, ancient ruins that offer a glimpse into the area's history.
Along the way, you will also encounter La Placette fountain and various information points that provide insight into the surroundings. Be sure to stay hydrated by stopping at the drinking water stations conveniently located along the trail.
Midway through the hike, at 1.82 kilometers from the start, you will reach Croix de la Plastra, a scenic saddle point offering panoramic views of the area. As you continue onwards, you will eventually reach the highlight of the trek, Mont Auri peak, located 3.11 kilometers from the starting point. Take in the breathtaking views from the summit before heading back.
