This hiking route in the Recingle area offers a moderate level of difficulty with a distance of approximately 6.145 kilometers and an elevation gain of 135 meters. It is estimated to take around 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete.
Starting at Sant Joan, an attraction located just 0.09 kilometers from the trailhead, hikers will pass by several points of interest along the way. Approximately 1.51 kilometers into the hike, there are two water features, followed by Font dels Amares, a spring located at the same distance.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach Mirador del Coll dels Colivassos at 1.83 kilometers, offering a panoramic viewpoint of the surrounding area. Make sure to bring plenty of water as the next water source is located 1.18 kilometers further along the trail.
Further along the route, hikers will encounter Portell de la Llenya at 2.38 kilometers, and Portell de Madrocs at 2.91 kilometers, both natural saddles providing unique vantage points. Additionally, Punta de Fornells, a peak, can be found at 3.03 kilometers into the hike.
Information points and viewpoints such as Mirador del Coll dels Colivassos and Portell de la Roca Mitjanera are scattered throughout the trail to provide insight into the area's history and natural features.
At the turnaround point, there is the Cova i font del Saüc, a cave entrance and spring located 2.92 kilometers from the start. Another notable feature is the Font del Bonic, a spring situated 2.14 kilometers into the hike.
