This extremely difficult 12.477-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning col de Freissinières ou d’Orcières area. The trail starts at an elevation gain of 991.0 meters and has a duration of approximately 5 hours and 21 minutes.

As you begin your hike, you'll come across several points of interest along the way. About 0.05 kilometers from the start, you'll find the ruins of an ancient structure, with more ruins located at 0.75 kilometers and 0.77 kilometers respectively. The trail will also lead you to various water points, with some closer to the start at approximately 2.91 kilometers, and others further away at 3.75 kilometers, 4.25 kilometers, and 5.22 kilometers.

Midway through your journey, you'll encounter the beautiful Lac des Sirènes, nestled about 3.75 kilometers from the start. Further along, you'll find the picturesque Lac Profond at 4.25 kilometers, and the Twin Lakes (Lacs Jumeaux) at 4.49 kilometers.

For those interested in history and nature, you can explore the Wayside Cross at 1.08 kilometers, the Rock of Estaris at 1.08 kilometers, and the waterfall at 1.13 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there are picnic sites and drinking water facilities located at 4.25 kilometers and 0.82 kilometers, respectively.

To start your adventure, you can park your vehicle at the designated parking areas at the trailhead. Remember to pack plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate gear for this challenging hike.
