Starting at Hundsplan parking area, you will embark on a journey through the beautiful natural surroundings. Just a short distance from the start, you will come across Hundsplan picnic site, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
As you continue along the trail, you will reach Col de Wolfsgrube, a picturesque saddle located 1.39 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to admire the surrounding landscape and rest before heading further.
Midway through the hike, at 2.52 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Ruine du Schrankenfels, a historic castle ruin that adds a touch of ancient charm to your adventure. Nearby, you can also explore viewpoints that offer stunning vistas of the area.
Towards the end of your journey, at 2.52 kilometers from the start, you will find Ruine du Burgstalschloss, another castle ruin that adds to the historical allure of the trail. As you make your way back, you will pass by a boundary stone dating back to 1848, providing a glimpse into the past.
