This hiking route to Pico de San Carlos is located in a picturesque area with stunning views. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 10.319 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1238 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.

Further along, you will find Fuente Dé restaurant and parking facility. Midway through the hike, you will encounter the peak of Pico de San Carlos, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

For those interested in natural formations, there are several cave entrances such as Sima J.O 1, Sima J.O 25, and Torca de la Horcada Verde along the route. These caves are located a few kilometers from the trail and are worth exploring if time permits.

As you trek back, you will pass by Horcada Verde saddle and various information points that provide insights into the area's history and geography. Make sure to stay hydrated by refilling your water bottles at the drinking water stations located at different points of the trail.
