This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Felsenhütte on the Ehwaldweg trail. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 7.616 kilometers and an elevation gain of 388 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will pass by the Wehrastausee, a picturesque lake located right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue along the path, you will come across the Schindelgraben, a scenic spot just 0.04 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail, you will encounter the Kraftwerk Wehratal information point and the Wehraschlucht, both providing interesting insights into the area.
Around the midway point of the hike, you will reach the Felsenhütte, where you can take a break and enjoy the views before continuing on. As you make your way back, be sure to stop by the Wilhelm-Kleissler-Stein memorial, located 2.37 kilometers from the start, and take in the viewpoints along the trail.
Throughout the hike, you will find benches and shelters like the Heuelhütte to rest and refuel.
