Welcome to the Camino de los Civiles hiking route in Madrid. This circular route covers a distance of approximately 5.4 kilometers with an elevation gain of 34 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. The estimated duration for this hike is about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area located just 6.9 meters from the trail, perfect for leaving your vehicle before embarking on the hike. As you continue on, at around 2.7 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a natural water source close to the trail where you can replenish your water supply.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 1.85 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Fuente de San Pedro, a drinking water spot with fresh water to quench your thirst. Additionally, at only 60 meters from the trail, the Mirador de la Sartén viewpoint offers a picturesque stop for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the way, you'll pass by various peaks such as Cerro de la Sartén, Cerro de las Figuras, and Cerro de las Ánimas, each offering unique vantage points and opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of the area.
It's important to note that although there are several water sources along the trail, it's always recommended to bring an adequate supply of water with you.
