Hiking : Camí de la Caseta

This hiking route, known as Camí de la Caseta, is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. The trail is approximately 13.55 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 697 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will challenge even experienced hikers. It is recommended to allocate around 4 hours and 52 minutes to complete the entire loop.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey. As you hike further along, at around 4.8 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the historic ruins of La Costa, adding a touch of cultural interest to your outdoor adventure.

Continuing on, at approximately 6.39 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak of Montmajor, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Be sure to take some time to appreciate the beauty from this vantage point.

Along the way, you will also pass by several viewpoints, including ones at 6.2 kilometers, 6.49 kilometers, and 1.88 kilometers from the start. These spots provide excellent opportunities to take in the scenery and capture some memorable photos.

At 5.95 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter Coll de la Bassa, a natural saddle that adds a unique feature to the trail. Additionally, at 0.09 kilometers from the start, you will find La Fonteta, a refreshing spring where you can rest and replenish your water supply.

Given the length and elevation gain of this trail, it is important to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, proper hiking gear, and a fully charged phone. Checking the weather forecast before setting out is also recommended to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
