Welcome to the Passamani Rundweg hiking route! This challenging route spans a distance of 8.909 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1293 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for seasoned hikers.
Your journey begins at Wanderparkplatz, a parking area located at the trailhead. As you set off, take note of the informative benches and information points scattered along the route, providing insights into the surrounding Karwendel mountain range.
About 4.3 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter the impressive peak of Westliche Karwendelspitze, although it's slightly off the main trail. This is a great spot to take a break and marvel at the stunning panoramic views.
Continuing onwards, at 4.15 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by the peak of Südlicher Karwendelkopf, offering another opportunity to soak in the rugged beauty of the landscape.
At the 2.14 kilometer mark, you'll reach Mittenwalder Hütte, a mountain hut where you can refuel and rest before continuing your trek. Further along at the 4.44 kilometer point, you'll encounter the Karwendelbahn Bergstation restaurant, a perfect spot to grab a meal with limited wheelchair access.
