This hiking route traverses a picturesque area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, leading to the peak of Gromovača.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the route. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a spot. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across a shelter around the midway point, providing a nice resting spot to catch your breath and take in the surroundings.
As you continue your ascent, you will encounter Dom Zavižan, an alpine hut located about 0.14 kilometers from the trail. This can be a great place to refill water bottles and maybe even grab a snack to refuel for the rest of the hike.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Gromovača, located approximately 6.34 kilometers from the starting point. The panoramic views from the peak make the effort worthwhile, offering a breathtaking reward for your hard work.
