The Ruta del Cares is a breathtaking hiking route located in a stunning natural area. This out-and-back trail offers hikers an easy yet rewarding experience, with a total distance of approximately 1.975 kilometers and an elevation gain of 111 meters.

As you begin your hike, you'll find convenient parking spaces nearby to leave your vehicle. Along the trail, you'll come across a water source at around 0.62 kilometers, perfect for refilling your water bottle. At approximately 0.99 kilometers into the hike, you'll find another water spot for your convenience.

For sustenance along the way, there are various options available. La Ruta restaurant is located at 0.12 kilometers from the trail, offering a cozy place to grab a bite. Further ahead, at 0.04 kilometers from the trail, you'll find El Montañero restaurant and La taberna de Cain offering a chance to taste delicious local cuisine.

To add some cultural insights to your hike, you can visit the Cueva de Santibañas at the beginning of the trail and Gregorio Pérez Demaria, el Cainejo monument if you venture further. Information points such as PR-PNPE 13 Cueva de Santibañas and PR-PNPE-3 Senda del Cares are also available to provide more context about the area.

As you make your way back, consider checking out Casa Cuevas campsite around 0.12 kilometers from the trail for a possible overnight stay experience.
