This extremely difficult 15.353 kilometers long hiking route will take you to the stunning Sierra Pelada area.

Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will soon come across information points that provide insights into the surrounding nature and landmarks. These information points are scattered throughout the trail, with some located at 1.49, 3.28, 0.81, 1.22, and 0.96 kilometers from the start of the trail.

As you continue on, you will encounter Sierra Pelada, a peak located 7.68 kilometers from the start of the trail. The peak offers breathtaking views and a great spot to rest and take in the beauty of the area. Additionally, Castle Rock, a magnificent rock formation, can be found 1.35 kilometers into the hike.

The route is an out-and-back type, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back. With an elevation gain of 466.0 meters, this hike is challenging and requires good physical condition. It is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
