This challenging hiking route will take you through the beautiful mountainous area surrounding the Skywalk destination. With a total distance of 6.81 kilometers and an elevation gain of 574 meters, this hike is sure to test your stamina and provide stunning views along the way.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll pass by the Pierergut restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across convenient facilities such as benches for resting and taking in the scenery.

Approximately 3.06 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the Gasthof Schönleitenblick alpine hut, a great spot for a longer break and possibly even an overnight stay if it's open. Further along the trail, you'll encounter the Aflenzer Bürgeralm peak, although it's not directly on the trail itself.

As you continue on, you'll find an Aussichtsplattform viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to take a moment to soak in the beauty before heading back.

Towards the end of the hike, you'll reach the Skywalk destination, a must-see attraction with breathtaking views. Remember to pack plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
