This challenging hiking route will take you through the beautiful terrain of the Almrauschhütte area. The trail starts at Pierergut restaurant and parking area, where you can park your vehicle before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the 7.19-kilometer route, you will pass by several points of interest.

Early on in the hike, you'll come across a bench where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at about 3.6 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Almrauschhütte Alpine Hut, a perfect spot to refuel and take in the stunning views. The hut is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00, closed in November.

As you continue on, you'll encounter more benches for resting and viewpoints for taking in the scenery. At around 3.17 kilometers from the start, you'll find Gasthof Schönleitenblick, another alpine hut where you can take a break.

The trail is an out-and-back route, so you'll retrace your steps back to the starting point once you reach Almrauschhütte. With an elevation gain of 574 meters, this hike is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out.
