This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Route de la Plaine. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 2.978 kilometers and an elevation gain of 107 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you start your journey, you will come across Place Vercingétorix, a parking area located right by the trail. Continuing on, you will pass by Place de la Barreyre, another parking spot, and then come across a couple of water features at distances of 0.07 and 0.08 kilometers from the start, respectively.

Around the midway point of the trail, at 1.49 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source called Source Saint-Martial, perfect for refilling your water bottles. Nearby, there are also some cafes like Café de la Place, where you can take a break and enjoy a refreshing beverage.

As you head back towards the starting point, you will encounter a fountain at 0.0 kilometers from the start and a historic wayside cross at 0.09 kilometers from the start. Make sure to stay hydrated, bring plenty of water, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this enjoyable hike.
