This challenging hiking route takes you through a stunning alpine landscape with a total distance of 6.028 kilometers and an elevation gain of 712 meters. The trail is an out-and-back route with Rifugio Maria as the destination.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a parking area before you embark on the trail. As you make your way, be sure to stop at Rifugio Forcella Pordoi, an alpine hut located 2.41 kilometers from the start, offering a rest stop and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Further along the trail at 3.01 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Maria, another alpine hut and restaurant where you can refuel and enjoy a meal. Additionally, you will pass by notable landmarks such as Forcella Pordoi and Sasso Pordoi, adding to the scenic beauty of the hike.

Throughout the hike, you may also encounter parking areas, information points, a cafe, and historic memorials, such as the Fausto Coppi memorial. As you ascend, be prepared for the changing terrain and varying levels of difficulty due to the elevation gain.
