This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning alpine landscapes of the Dolomites. The trail, with a total distance of 6.028 kilometers and an elevation gain of 712 meters, is rated as difficult due to its length and steep terrain.
Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the hike. As you continue on, you will come across the Rifugio Forcella Pordoi alpine hut, situated around 2.41 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the views before pressing on.
Further along the trail, at approximately 3.01 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Maria, a charming alpine hut and restaurant where you can refuel with some local cuisine.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching Sasso Pordoi, a peak located 2.97 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from this vantage point are truly breathtaking and worth the effort to get there.
