Hiking : Strada per Malga Vacil

This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on an out-and-back journey along the "Strada per Malga Vacil" trail, covering a distance of approximately 14.957 kilometers with a challenging elevation gain of 1497 meters.

The trail starts at the "Poli" parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this demanding adventure. As you begin your hike, you will pass by the "Ristoro" restaurant, which might be a good spot to grab a meal or refreshments before heading out into the wilderness.

Along the way, you'll encounter several points of interest. About midway into the hike, you will come across the "Dosso della Croce" peak, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. There are also multiple water sources scattered throughout the trail, providing opportunities to refill your water bottles and stay hydrated.

Additionally, you'll find various information points and historic sites, such as wayside crosses and shrines, offering insights into the local culture and history. Be sure to take in the scenery and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding you as you tackle the challenging terrain.

Towards the end of the route, at approximately 7.29 kilometers from the starting point, you'll reach the "Bivacco Malga Vacil" wilderness hut, where you can take a rest and soak in the serene atmosphere before turning back and retracing your steps.
