Welcome to the hiking route to Mont - Chemin des Charbonniers!
This moderate difficulty out-and-back trail spans 4.076 kilometers with an elevation gain of 279 meters, taking approximately 1 hour and 38 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this adventure, ensure you have enough water and check the weather forecast.
Starting the hike, you will find a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way, 2.04 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a mesmerizing viewpoint offering breathtaking scenery.
Further along the trail at 0.01 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a beautiful fountain where you can take a refreshing break. Additionally, at 0.1 kilometers into the hike, there is a drinking water station to refill your bottles.
Continue the journey and at 0.31 kilometers, you'll see the historic Calvaire wayside cross and the Statue de la Vierge artwork. There are benches along the trail at various points starting from 0.02 kilometers into the hike, providing opportunities to rest and take in the surroundings.
Heading onwards, at 1.14 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Grotte de Liausson cave entrance, adding an intriguing element to your hike. At 2.04 kilometers, another viewpoint awaits you with stunning views.
Take note that at 2.01 kilometers, there is a cave entrance named Baume Nègre, although it is located off the trail. Lastly, as you make your way back, 1.12 kilometers from the start, there is another cave entrance called Entrée de caverne.
