This challenging hike takes you to the peak of Kugelzipf, offering stunning panoramic views along the way. The trail spans approximately 7.24 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 871 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Kienklause parking area before embarking on the ascent. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 2.9 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a viewpoint called Niedere Rast, offering a perfect spot to catch your breath and take in the surrounding scenery.

Continuing onward, you'll come across the Normalweg climbing area at around 3.17 kilometers into the hike. For a quick break, the Gasthof Kienklause restaurant is conveniently located just 0.02 kilometers off the trail. As you approach the peak, you'll pass by the Scheringstein information point at approximately 1.89 kilometers from the start.

The trail culminates at the Kugelzipf peak, standing at 3.62 kilometers from the beginning of the hike. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape.
