This extremely difficult 14.55-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Lago Piccolo in the beautiful area near the Lago di Barco. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 1200 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous and rewarding adventure.
As you start your hike, you will pass by the Lago di Barco, a picturesque water body located 5.35 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the trail at 4.5 kilometers, you will encounter the Cascata waterfall, a stunning natural attraction worth the visit. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as this route will take approximately 6 hours and 22 minutes to complete.
At the midway point, around 7.28 kilometers from the start, you will reach the serene Lago Piccolo. This tranquil lake is a perfect spot to take a rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before heading back.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various facilities such as shelters, parking areas, drinking water stations, benches, BBQ spots, and picnic sites. Additionally, keep an eye out for viewpoints where you can admire the stunning scenery of the area.
