This extremely difficult 15.03-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning destination of Croz de la Luna. The trail starts at a parking area with no fee and passes by various points of interest along the way.
At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the beautiful Laghetti di San Leonardo, a natural water feature located just 0.33 kilometers from the start. As you continue on the trail, you will find Bar Centro Fondo where you can grab a snack or drink before embarking on your journey. There are also several parking areas along the trail for your convenience.
About 0.85 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Agriturismo Volpaia, a charming restaurant where you can take a break and fuel up for the rest of your adventure. Make sure to stay hydrated by taking advantage of the drinking water stations located at various points along the trail.
As you trek further, you will encounter a wooden bench around 0.99 kilometers from the start, perfect for taking a rest and enjoying the scenic views. Additionally, there is an information point called Segnavia at 2.42 kilometers into the hike, providing you with insights about the surrounding area.
Around halfway through the hike, at 7.51 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Croz de la Luna, offering breathtaking panoramic views as a reward for your challenging journey. On the way back, you can visit the attraction Ponte, located 0.69 kilometers from the start.
While the trail features various points of interest, keep in mind that this hike is extremely difficult due to its length of 15.03 kilometers and elevation gain of 1109 meters.
