This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and historic landmarks. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 7.797 kilometers and an elevation gain of 183 meters, making it a difficult hike that will challenge both your endurance and strength.
You will start your journey at a parking area located 0.7 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the route, you will pass by a wayside cross called Cruz del Calvario, situated 0.2 kilometers from the start. This historic landmark provides a glimpse into the area's cultural heritage.
Along the trail, you will also come across a fountain located at the midway point, where you can take a break and refill your water bottles. Further ahead, at 1.5 kilometers from the start, you will find a restaurant called Café-bar Chimenea, perfect for grabbing a quick bite to eat.
As you continue your hike, you will reach Plaza de la Cruz, another wayside cross, and a viewpoint called Mirador del Embalsede Algeciras, both located towards the end of the trail. These spots offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making for a rewarding finish to your hike.
