This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Terril du Pétria n°1 - Cité du Charbonnage. The trail is an out-and-back type route with a total distance of 6.645 kilometers and an elevation gain of 0.0 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.

As you start your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle. From there, you will pass by several water points along the way, perfect for refilling your water bottles and staying hydrated. Around 3.32 kilometers into the hike, you will find another water point that is closer to the trail.

Further along the trail, at a distance of 2.19 kilometers from the start, you will have the opportunity to explore the peak known as Terril Calvaire 2, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, at 2.8 kilometers from the start, you will reach Terril du Pétria n°1, another peak worth visiting for its panoramic vistas.

As you make your way back, you will pass by a sandwicherie around the 2.38-kilometer mark, where you can grab a quick bite to eat before finishing the hike. Finally, you will arrive back at the starting point, completing the out-and-back journey.
