Welcome to the Oberwaldersteig hiking route!

Located in a picturesque area, this moderate 6.105-kilometer out-and-back trail offers hikers a chance to explore the stunning natural beauty of the surroundings. The trail has an elevation gain of 389 meters and will take approximately 2 hours and 23 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you'll come across "die Alm", a cozy restaurant perfect for grabbing a bite to eat before you begin your adventure. Further along the trail, you'll encounter a couple of water sources, one 3.05 kilometers from the start and the other at 2.8 kilometers. Be sure to refill your water bottles to stay hydrated throughout your hike.

For those driving to the trailhead, "Rottmannalm" offers convenient parking at the beginning of the trail. Around 2.95 kilometers into the hike, you'll find an information point where you can learn more about the area. A picnic site is located at 2.69 kilometers, providing a great spot to rest and enjoy some snacks while taking in the picturesque views.

As you continue on, "Schoberköpfl", a peak at 3.05 kilometers from the start, offers a challenging but rewarding side trip for those looking for a more strenuous hike. Additionally, there is another information point at 1.13 kilometers if you wish to learn more about the surrounding flora and fauna.
